The following Notices should be observed if you want to become a Full member of Moray Archery.

  • All members must be affiliated and have Archery GB insurance.
  • All archery GB Rules of shooting must be observed by members.
  • Archery GB equity polices on Race and Gender are followed by members.
  • Juniors are not to shot unless supervised by an adult.

Failure to comply will result in expulsion from Moray Archery.

  • There is No legal requirments to owning bows and arrows in the UK. 
  • To purchase a crossbow you must be over 18.
  • You must keep your bow and arrows concealed when transporting them in public spaces, and good practice to remove the string.
  • It is illegal to hunt with a bow and arrow in the UK 
  • Bows can be used on private land if you have permision.
  • Your local council is NOT obliged to provide land or facilities for the practice of archery.

Moray Archery is Affiliated to Archery GB and Scottish Archery.

 

Archery GB id the Governing body for Archery in the UK but as Scotland has different laws and regulations we take some of our guidance from Scottish Archery.

 

At Moray Archery we adopt and follow all of Scottish archerys Policies and Procedures Which are Avaliable on their website.
